Best Outerwear for Holiday Gifts from Marks & Spencer!

One of my favorite things about the holiday season and the weather cooling down is being able to wear outerwear again! I love big oversized coats and jackets, they really just make an outfit! Not only are they great to have but they are also great gifts to give and receive! I can just see the smile my mom would have on her face if she unwrapped a beautiful coat I picked out for her! So I have linked some of my favorite outerwear pieces from Marks & Spencer for a variety of people on your list. This could be mom, dad, step mom or dad, brother, sister, boyfriend, girlfriend, bestie, teacher, your crushhhh, or anyone else you can think of. This peacoat from Marks & Spencer was one that definitely caught my eye. The muted green makes it perfect for this time of the year and paired with red or maroon shoes create a simple festive look!

What coat or jacket would you want to receive for Christmas or the holidays? Here are my suggestions below!

Typical Tomboy

View More: View More: View More: View More: View More: Well back to the grind! Breaks are never long enough are they?
Days like this, there's nothing like a really comfortable outfit. And what could be more comfortable than denim, sneakers and a cozy sweater. This sweater has been a new go-to. I love that it's a modern piece from Free People but it looks like I could have gotten it at a thrift store. It's screams That 70s Show!!
Vans have been my favorite these days too. I hadn't owned a pair since high school, back when I was trying to learn how to longboard (hahaha) There a new staple again!

Pretending I'm in Paris

These photos and this place really made me feel as though I had immediately left Oregon and was transported to Paris or something! Which would be a dream if I could just suddenly appear in Europe since the idea of being in a plane for that long scares the crap out of me! haha
I've been recently inspired more and more by Parisian women and their effortless style. I love how they have certain pieces that work for them and they wear them on repeat, almost like a uniform. This bag is without a doubt a part of my own personal uniform, along with these jeans. It's nice to have those pieces that are always there and make you feel good. That's what style is all about right?!

Also, I can't thank Dawn Photo enough for these amazing images! She's my favorite photographer to work with these days, aside from my boyfriend of course! haha She does amazing work....if you're getting married or need some senior photos, she's your girl! (plus she loves to travel!!)

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving weekend! I am going to take the weekend to eat LOTS of food and hangout with my mom's side of the family! I will be back on Monday, taking full advantage of this break! <3

Getting Cozy with Urban Outfitters

6L0A2234 6L0A2253 6L0A2238 6L0A2284 6L0A2244 6L0A2290Not only do I love expressing my personal style through clothes, but I absolutely love coming home to a place that is welcoming and inspiring as well. That's why I decided to redecorate our place so that it reflects my personal style and it's a place I want to come and relax. I think when you have your own personal space that you out together the way you like, then you tend to get more creative in other aspects of your life as well!
Urban Outfitters is always one of my go-to places with so many things especially when it comes to home decor. I'm usually drawn to more minimal and neutral color palettes but with interesting textures.

What do you guys think of my new room arrangement? I also just made this wall hanging after seeing this DIY! It was so much fun!

Best Basics for Any Wardrobe

6L0A2109 6L0A2057 6L0A2085 6L0A2063 6L0A2090 6L0A2119 Basics really are a necessity for anyone and everyone's wardrobe. They're perfect to build outfits off of and also great to throw on when you don't have time to really think about what to wear. For me, the best basics include: a great pair of sneakers, a well fitted white tee, and some comfy black soft pants. These can be mixed and matched into so many different outfits and also pair well together.

I've had my eye on this top for a couple of weeks now and finally treated myself to it! I really believe in splurging here and there on items that you know you will get a lot of wear out of. It's easier on your closet and better for the environment. (HINT: if you get this tee, make sure to size up! It runs small!)

Alright, well I hope you guys enjoyed this post and my tips on best basics. NOW BACK TO HOMEWORK! ahhh.

The Best Minimal Rings

6L0A2030 6L0A2020 It's pretty obvious that I don't wear nearly as much jewelry as I should. I don't know if it's the natural tomboy in me that just tends to steer away from too much of it, but it's definitely something I want to wear more of! It's really nice to have pieces like these beautiful twist rings from Mejuri to add on to my outfit without much thought. They add the perfect amount of something to my looks! Not only do they fit perfectly with so many looks but they're also handcrafted, 14k gold and ethically made. That's something I can really stand behind!

My Fall Staple

6L0A1984 6L0A1962 6L0A2018 6L0A1957 6L0A1995

No matter how bad I don't want "rainy season" to arrive in Portland, it's well on it's way. This means months of rainy days which sometimes makes it really difficult to decide what to wear in the mornings. Luckily, I was recently introduced to Native Shoes and their new Hydro Collection. Their shoes are Weatherproof as well as light and completely vegan. Perfect for Portland! And basically anywhere you don't want to worry about the weather too much.

My other staple for fall right now continues to be bomber jackets. Though I haven't featured them in many outfit posts here, I wear them SO much. They're perfect to throw on with denim and sneakers (like this look) when I want to cute, quick look for class. And honestly, with how busy school keeps me...I don't want to spend too much extra time deciding what to wear.
