Denim really is essential to any wardrobe. It goes with so many things and can be styled countless ways. But one of my favorite ways to style denim is just with a classic button up. I love how simple and minimal it is and overall effortless! I’m honored to be teaming up with Grana to show their new denim collection too. I love the skinny fit and the high waist! It’s perfect for the fall season so I can tuck in long sleeve tops or tees or layer with a chunky sweater.
Make sure and check out Grana’s new denim collection and use code TONYAxGRANA to get 10% off and free shipping! (that includes global shipping too!)

This post is in collaboration with Grana but all ideas and opinions are my own!

How to Find the Perfect Pair of Vintage Levi’s

I get a lot of compliments and questions about my vintage Levi’s. I’ve acquired quite the collection after lots of hunting and gifts from friends. But finding the perfect pair of vintage Levi’s (the ones we see EVERYWHERE) can be tough! With that being said, I thought I would share some of my tips on how to find the perfect pair of vintage Levi’s of your own!

1. Be patient. First of all, vintage Levi’s fit differently than most jeans made today. Back in the day, they were designed for men so they didn’t think about fitting for women. It takes a lot of trying on many pairs to find the ones that will fit like a glove! So don’t get discouraged if you can’t find them right away.

2. Read the style on the butt tag! 501 is the most popular style. They’re the button fly, classic Levi’s that seem to be the ones that are most sought after. They’re my favorite style too, I recommend the 501s!

3. Buy small and tight fit! After a lot of wear, Levi’s tend to stretch out a lot. Many of mine are pretty baggy now so I definitely recommend getting a pair that is SUPER tight and within a few hours they will start to mold to your body!

4. Be open to tailoring. Find the absolute perfect pair can be tough, so if it fits well in the butt and waist, but they’re too long…don’t be discouraged! Keep in mind that you can take them to a tailor to get the length adjusted or the legs a slimmer fit!

5. CHECK OUT THE MEN’S SECTION AT THE THRIFT STORE. Number one tip right here. I have found majority of my Levi’s in the guys denim section at a local thrift store.

Those are my tips on finding the perfect pair of Levis! I hope it helped! Let me know your thoughts!

Double denim has been a favorite of mine since the early stages of my blog! The canadian tuxedo always reminded me of George Harrison and is such a cool, effortless way to look stylish. I know there are many people though that can easily be intimidated by the thought of wearing denim on denim. So here is a SUPER easy, beginners way to try the double denim look.
First, find a great pair of jeans. This can be skinny, flares, shorts, whatever you like! Then grab your favorite basic white tee to pair with the jeans. Then add the second denim piece, such as a denim jacket! It’s as easy as that! After you have the basics all down, you can really style it anyway you want! Pair the look with sneakers or a statement necklace…whatever shows your personality! For this look I wanted to play on tomboy and feminine so I decided to add these low suede heels.
I hope you guys liked this simple way to try double denim! What are your secrets to denim on denim style?

Feeling Fall

Vintage will always be near and dear to my heart. It’s what first really got me inspired to start blogging and is what majority of my outfits were when I first started as well. When I had more time, my favorite thing ever was to go search through racks at the thrift store and see what hidden gems I could find. Now, I can’t seem to find the time as often to sift through the stores but when I do it’s always worth it. I found this top a few months ago when it was a little to warm to wear it and I am so happy to finally bust it out. The colors are so reminiscent of fall! I love how modern the print is too even though I am pretty sure it’s from the 70s.
And you can never go wrong with vintage Levi’s right?
Are you guys looking forward to fall? Even though summer is probably my favorite season, I am excited to start bundling up and break out my boots and coats more often! AND MAKE SOME HOT COCO! yessss.

I don’t care..

Je M’en Fous…aka I don’t care or something along the lines of I don’t give a sh*t. This is something honestly, I want to live by more often. Being carefree is one of those traits that I’ve always wished I was but sometimes, I just get too caught up in my own thoughts. There are definitely things we should care about but certain things such as “does so and so like me?” “does my hair look dumb today?” “did I sound stupid when I said that?”….WHO CARES. I don’t want to care about that. So with that said, my motto right now is “I don’t care” about things that really don’t matter. I just want to be confident in myself and happy with who I am, that’s really what I care about!
On another note, it really feels like summer just up and left us here in Portland. So I’m just going to embrace it. I’m actually happy to be wearing jeans consistently again and when I got these it reminded me how much I love white denim…especially with white tees!
